Export Controls + Conflicts of Interest

Thursday, February 23, 2023 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Responsible Conduct of Research

Responsibly conducting research often requires navigating thorny regulatory compliance issues; conflicts of interest can arise in unanticipated ways, and U.S. export controls can apply to international collaborations, travel, or even strictly domestic research conducted on campus.

This RCR Monthly Series talk will be led by Kristen Schwendinger, Compliance Officer, and Cledwyn Jones, Sr. Research Compliance Associate for Export Controls. We’ll review GW’s policies on Conflicts of Interests and Export Controls and then dive into best practices and case studies to provide applicable insights to support your work. Ample time will be included for questions throughout.

Researchers at all stages of their careers are welcome.
